I have a few chicks doing this whats wrong and how do i fix it ?Anybody seen yours do this and should I worry?

What are they doing? Is there supposed to be a pic?
there is a video here is the link
gasping for air extending the neck in the air . this chick is 6 wks old but just had it happen to a 1 hour old too. I incubate my own eggs so I dont think its gapeworm.

Could they have something stuck in their crop?
ive rub it and couldnt feel anything , nothing stuck in the mouth that I could see , turned it upside down rub the croop. this one chick in video did this for 3 days then stopped now I have a 1 hour chick and a 2 wk old doing it . it must be the food getting caught up . this new batch I got seems a little bigger crumbles. I just want to make sure its not a virus.

I wouldn't think it's a virus unless there are other signs like diarrhea, listlessness, discharge from nose or eyes, etc.. If you suspect an impacted crop, you can help ease this by giving two eye droppers full of mineral oil down the gullet and massage the lump between your fingers to soften and help pass it. I wouldn't turn upside down because your chick can aspirate the contents of her crop and get aspiration pneumonia.. Good luck!

This looks like a respiratory problem that chick is having trouble breathing. Have you started them on a antibiotic I see that you have other chickens are any of the adults acting sick? Are the chicks in contact or close proximity to the adults? Do you care for the chicks first before caring for the adults so as not to transfer any infection on your hands or clothing from adults to chicks?
When they are that young time is of the essence Good Luck and keep us posted.

the chicks havent been around any others chickens since hatching from incubator. I havent given any meds because I wasnt sure what was wrong. Since post ive lost 4 chicks . the only change ive made since this all started was I went from medicated feed to non medicated because my friend picked up wrong feed..which antibiotic ,should I put them on Tylan ?

Check out this site and see if you can tell by the descriptions what is going on with your chicks.
I'm so sorry you are losing chicks the medicated feed would have nothing to do with this as long as it is not moldy then it could be could be brooder pneumonia aka Aspergillosis. The medicated feed prevents the system absorbing Thiamin which is for the prevention of coccidiosis it is not an antibiotic.
Good Luck I feel so bad for you this is an awful thing.
