Thank you for letting me know about the light situation. I Took it off them yesterday. I am not using cedar bedding. Papertowels works best for me.

I have/ had 15 court unix quail. They are almost a week old. Just went down to check and three were pecking/ eating a dead one. They are in a Tupperware container, white light lots of food and water. Any ideas on why one died? I did notice my temp was a but low

Use a red lamp instead of white...it helps keep them from picking/pecking each other. You can get red bulbs at petco or petsmart where they keep reptile supplies. 100 watt should be enough if they are in a plastic storage container. I would also recommend "save a chick" mixed in their water and change it daily. Their temp should be at 90 degrees if they are a week old....check it with a thermometer
