I think tom has blackhead.
Tom is 2 1/2 years old.
Hard time standing, head hanging, no gobbling or strutting. diarrhea.
looks like he is dying.
Tom has been sick for over 48 hours now.
I am giving him spoons of cayenne water.
Started last night and will do this three times a day.
I am trying to find vitamins and electrolytes for animals but can't.
I live in a rural area.
Its the start of a long weekend, so many places are closed.
Can I use people electrolytes and vitamins?
I don't have a clue what vitamins a turkey needs in this situation.
The hens are doing a vigil by toms side.
I never heard then make the noises that they are doing beside tom.
Its like they are singing a song to him and are worried for him.
I just cayenne peppered the water and food for the hens.
They seem to be fine so far.
Anything else I can do?
Should I give the poults in the coop (had no contact with tom) some apple cider vinegar or cayenne pepper in their water?
Any opinions are well come here.
Thanks.
