Sick Toulouse Gosling

yes she dipped her head like 5 times for me in the water and was drinking. ill try that now
Be sure to keep water available at all times and make sure the gosling can dunk her head into what ever you are using so she can wash her face real good especially important after eating. If she won't take the feed with warm water then make her a gruel out of her feed and warm water but make it soupy just start her out slow but leave it where she can eat as often as she wants to. using the gruel in place of her water till you see her drinking it for a while, then put her water back in along with the soupy gruel. The reason for taking the water away is to make sure she is drinking the soupy gruel. I hope it's not too late,.

When he rescued it he and I really both thought it was like easy to feed we went to petco n they had nothing for ducks (we first thought it was a duck) n the sales lady said fruits n veg n grass so I went with that. A terrible learning experience my past two days of from a very stressful job have been extra stressful but when I did the water thing n sat with goosie n pointed at the water n feed gruel she would dip n eat n drink then look up at me for congratulations I guess lol

This gosling has been stressed out. This one is going to bond with you and want to be where you are. Good for you getting to the feed store to get the proper food for your gosling. Baby was giving you the approval that yes mom, this is what I needed besides all my veggies...... Keep us posted on this tiny tot !!!

X2 so happy to hear it is responding.

Well today I noticed another issue just now, She is wet under her beak area and when she stretched her neck I saw pink like exposed skin. What could that be about????? She is eating better though.

She is probably losing some of her fluff, and being wet under her chin could be she is putting her face into her water or dribbling some when she takes a drink. Good to hear she is eating better, are you giving her food 24/7? very important they get to eat when ever they want when very young. also some outside time where she can get fresh air, sunshine and nibble on some fresh grass would be excellent at least everyday. just be sure not to leave her alone outside or in the hot sun.
