I have a turkey hen that I think is acting egg bound. Seems very lethargic and not eating... Can't feel an egg but not sure what else could be going on with her. Please help.

If she’s pooping then she isn’t egg bound. When a bird is going to lay an egg the egg blocks off the intestines. If an egg bound bird isn’t tended to it will die from the build up of waste in its body.

To the original poster is your friend’s bird a Sex Link or Production breed? Maybe the bird was internal laying :idunno
I think you're partially correct in that one that cannot poop will die, but an egg can be stuck (egg bound) in a way that does not obstruct the bowels.

I don't have the stuff to tube feed and don't have the confidence to do it... Any other way to rehydrated if that's the issue? She isn't pale or anything... She's red.

I can teach you if you can get the supplies. If you think she is egg bound you can try giving her a human calcium citrate pill and see if that helps. If she were mine I would tube at least 60 ml of water and give calcium.

Gave her Tums for calcium... My wife said she was willing to try crop feeding if you could tell us how... We do have a catheter if that would work for tubing... Would it be better to tube her with electrolytes?
