I usually use plain water, but you could use electrolytes too. What size catheter do you have?

Excellent! Welcome to Team Tube Feeding.Tube feeding went well... Gave her 60 CC's of save a chic. Also dewormed with safe guard and gave her some poultry nutri-drench. She is resting comfortably in a crate in the house. Hopefully she will be feeling better in the morning. Left electrolyte water and food in crate with her for morning... She did drink some before laying down. She's such a sweet girl... I hope she pulls through...
Will do... Hopefully she can rest comfortably tonight... Wasn't sure if it would stress her out keeping her in the house or if she would be more comfortable in her house outside... Figured if we kept her inside could keep a better eye on her and wouldn't have to keep carrying her back and forth in case she needs to be tube fed in the morning.Excellent! Welcome to Team Tube Feeding.
Let us know how she is in the morning.

We'll have to make her a good breakfast... For sure have yogurt and eggs! Guess I better go to bed now so I'm good and energized to take care of our sweet feathered turkey "Janet"... My wife named her... Good night all!I would suggest offering her high-nutrient treats like yogurt, oatmeal, and scrambled or boiled egg first thing in the morning. I often make scrambled eggs with garlic, using a bit of olive oil, and mix in honey (raw, unfiltered is best) after it's cooked. I know it sounds disgusting to (at least most of) us, but the birds enjoy it, and it's packed with goodies for them.
I hope she feels better soon, too.Turkey hens are such sweeties! At least all of them I've ever known have been!
