Sick turkey - trouble walking

UPDATE: Really, there is no update. He seemed to respond favorably at first to the Nutri-drench but now he's very up-and-down (still giving him the Nutri-drench). Some days are definitely better than others. Yesterday he was out in the yard getting around (but still really off balance) but today he's back to hiding in the corner. He's still eating and drinking but I'm really not seeing any improvement that's long lasting. I'm beginning to wonder if it could be a stroke or some other neurological problem.

Update: Last Monday I decided to put him on Duramycin (tetracycline) in his water. After talking to a friend of mine that is a vet, we decided to do a 14 day round. By Friday he was gobbling again and starting to display. Yesterday he was walking normally again. My friend suspects it was a chronic ear infection, hence the long dosage time to make sure we knock it down all the way. So good news all around!

I have a 4 yo blue slate tom who all of a sudden started having trouble walking - staggering and off balance. One day he was displaying and the next he could barely walk. He's eating and his feces looks normal. He's not laying down at all either. I'm not seeing any obvious injuries either. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have one too that just started this yesterday He acts like he's drunk... Was fine the day before ..looking now for a reason why?.... good liuck

I just lost a hen who had a similar case; only difference was that she had yellow-white diarrhea. Glad you were able to save him!

I know this is an older thread but I'm dealing with the same thing in one of my turkey hens. It's been very wet here the past few weeks and one day I noticed she was off a bit and a little off balanced. It progressed quickly to no appetite and barely being able to stand. She's now on day 4 of tylan 50 and day 5 of corid (just in case for cocci). She was very tired, falling asleep continuously, no appetite, and pooping green, watery goop :/ She's doing better now, eating and drinking more on her own but it's still extremely wobbly. How long did it take for your Tom to show dramatic improvement on his balance?
