I have 7 9 mounth old turkeys, they are all healthy expert one I noticed yesterday it wasn't eating or acting right it was just standing in the pen away from the rest and doesn't even move it's so weak it doesn't even fly up to roost what can I do and should I get it away from my healthy birds?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm sorry to hear you have poorly turkey :hugs I'm afraid I'm not a turkey person but I'm sure if you pop by the turkey section of the forum the keepers there should be able to help you. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/20/turkeys

Wishing you the very best of luck, I hope you able to get your bird better again real soon :fl

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock! It would be good to make an additional thread in the Emergency/Disease/Injury forum to get some more advice. You might want to take a picture of the turkey and the feces to help them out. One common disease that I know in young turkeys is Blackhead. It's caused by a protozoa spread by parasites. You are going to need a wormer to worm them and there's another medicine to help repair damages but I can't remember what it's called.

You have been given good information, so I'll just say hi!

I would separate her from the others - even tho she may have spread her illness to them already. When a bird is ailing, it's worse if the others bump them or push around, so isolation is good for it. If she try a special treat, will she take it. Or a bit of sugar in the water. Has she been laying before this happened? Is she laying at all now? Do you think she may be eggbound?
