Sick Turkey

Hi! We are new to raising turkeys and are having some trouble. Our 7 week old hen died last week and now one of the Toms appears to be sick. He has the same symptoms as the hen. Hunched neck, lethargic, and not really eating much. Any suggestions as how to help him?

Welcome to BYC. Any blood in the feces ? If so coccidiosis is your problem.

Welcome to BYC, sorry for your loss. Can you post some pictures of it's poop? When young turkeys and peafowl get sick I worry about blackhead and coccidiosis, both can kill fast.

Is a vet an option because if it is blackhead you will need two drugs that cannot be purchased at the feed store, Baytril and metronidazole.
