Okay, so today I brought home a young royal palm turkey. I'm not entirely sure how old it is or its gender, since it isn't quite big enough to tell. (It was a bit smaller than the others and was being picked on, so I instantly fell in love with the little one) He/she eats perfectly normal and squawks just fine. However, whenever it goes to sleep, it makes this noise that sounds sort of like a sneeze, then settles back down. I noticed this before I even got him/her out of the cage for purchase, so I don't think it's my house. Any ideas on what it is? Is it a cold or some kind of allergy? Thanks!

Mine does that sometimes but it might be because they have dust from the food or something in there nose or have water in there nose.

Okay, that's great. :) I was a little nervous, since I don't know much about the little one's background. Thanks!

Happy to help!!!

Mine does that too when they drink too much water too fast and get it in there nose. Turkeys are not the smartest creatures LoL!!!
Yep, mine also do this. They are definitely not as smart in the eating/drinking department, but are otherwise intelligent. Mine are anyway. Maybe it is the wild in them that is a bit more smart :P
