Yesterday I noticed Jack our turkey was a little fluffed. He ate his dinner, eating grain drinking. This morning however, he is noticably fluffed, now I notice feathers missing from the back of his neck. He is all alone in his yard and coop so no chance of being pecked. His back by his tail is humped and his tail is down. I changed his grain yesterday he was on 16% poultry but started to mix turkey pellets. His poop seems fine. I have a picture but doesn't really show much. I noticed his face is pale and he seems sleepy. He's been dusted with Sevin5 2 weeks ago, thinking of putting the spot on him. Any thoughts? He really hates to be handled though.


When he fluffs is when you can see the feathers missing.

Most likely he is molting.

It does seem to be molting time around here too. My best hen turkey is almost bold in spots!
