I am still new to this, and I think I have enough information to be dangerous, but not necessarily accurate yet...
What are the difference between sickle and saddle and hackle feathers, and do they help in sexing? Where are the different feathers found? Also shininess seems to be discussed in sexing quite often. Can someone direct me to a diagram or resource?
I have a 13 week old Buff Orpington. I hadn't really suspected her of being a roo, but her neck and back are so shiny in the sun. Her face started getting pink about 3 weeks ago. At this point, I'll just wait for an egg or a crow, but I'd still like to learn more about feather sexing.
