So, my local feed store had their "chick day" and in among the started pullets (which were debeaked, btw

) was a Silkie huddled in the corner. Of course I had to "rescue" him or her, so I go to get her and wouldn't you know there are 2.
Anyway, The little white one was FILTHY so I give her a bath and sure enough, she has what appear to be lice. So I dry her off, put her under the heat lamp and head off to the store for dust. While I was there I also picked up some Wazine (who knows if they've ever been dewormed, and they are supposedly 7 months old) and Sulfa drinking water solution (I thought I noticed a crusty nostril while drying her off).

So, here are my questions:

1) She's already stressed so what would be the best plan of attack to cover all the bases? I'd really love to dust them ASAP. I just can't stop itching just thinking about it!

2) How best to go about preventing spread to my other 2 adult chickens and week old baby chicks? They are quarantined in a separate area of the barn, but aside from handwashing before contact w/the other birds, anything else I should do?

3) Since I've got the Wazine, and dont know if the other 2 adults have ever been wormed (we "adopted them a few months ago), should I hit them too?

Mmmm, I think here was something else, but right now it escapes me.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
~Terry
