We have 4 (possibility of 5 or 6, one seems better and one may be starting but hard to tell yet) hens that have diarrhea and 2 of the 4 have water belly too. We can not figure outside t what to do or what’s going on. I’ve searched and asked and searched some more. Everything seems to tell me that it’s almost impossible to diagnose diarrhea without other symptoms cause a million things can cause it (and there’s no other symptoms then water belly) All my research about the water belly says it’s not contagious and just happens (ones an older hen around 5, and another is a younger hen around 9 months)

Is there anything I can do? I’m at my wits end.

Photos?? Poop, hens, bellies?

What do you feed, including treats?

Do they lay eggs?

Have you wormed your hens? If so, when and with what, dosage too.

Water Belly (a.k.a. Ascites) is a symptom - it can be due to reproductive disorders and/or organ failure.
