Explains a lot, doesn't it?

Alaskan was so saintly as a child that punishment of any kind never had to be resorted to.
And I call Sourland "Pinocchio?" How can you even get close enough to the computer screen to read it after that one?

Quote: I've heard that voles do that a lot . . . .

Mentioning things that seem to happen a lot, my husband has a customer that was diagnosed with a brain tumor a few years ago. It was removed successfully and hasn't returned, so he should live a normal life - if his wife doesn't kill him. Y'see, the man that came out of the OR isn't quite the same guy that went in. For one thing, he has almost no impulse control. When he gets an idea, he is obsessed with it, and nobody gets any peace until he has obtained/achieved whatever it was that took his fancy. Unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately), he loses interest just as fast, and often winds up disposing of the object of previous interest on Craigslist or by other means in short order.

Many of his projects involve structures or other aspects of the yard and garden, which is where my husband comes in. He often spends part of several days each week doing things in this guy's yard. He does try to rein him in a bit (I dread to think what might have happened if he hadn't talked him out of getting a horse) but there is only so much any one can do. Recently, this fella bought a house, and among other things, is completely redoing the landscape. We recently discovered something that we fear may be an omen of some sort: Google Earth has recently updated its satellite image of the area, and in the current one, you can clearly see my husband's truck parked in front of this guy's house!

Don't believe it, Alaskan. They go into "feed" mode, and they eat while their eyes never leave the screens. All that happens then is fat (cold) voles. One advantage to "feed" mode, though, is you can get rid of a lot of leftovers that way . . . .
