Interesting about the peafowl eggs! Good thing is now you know where the lady lives!!!!! Maybe you can get some more, also could be you are further along than you think! Can you candle peafowl eggs.

What got me through this last incubation period was our move from one house to another. I got so busy that the time just flew by! Last week I was like, "Oh my gosh! The babies are due NEXT WEEK!" Just stay busy and the time will go by so quickly, you won't believe it!

I've had 12 Coturnix hatch since 12:15 AM EST yesterday (July 14th) and 1 Dominique chick that hatched a couple hours ago, plus another Coturnix and Dom that are pipped

I'm on day two with my ducks and still have 26 to go. But atlest I should be getting my turken eggs in the morning and they will hatch before the ducks so I'll have a couple of days distraction with them.

I did try to candle them with my cheap little pen light (good candling flashlight needs batteries) and I can't see much... too early to tell, really. There is one egg... it has a bigger yolk area than the others. It may have developed some before I got a hold of it. I'll candle again on day 10. That's the plan.
Oh, and as for the vending machine... I'll be heading down the road to the convenience store... those machines cost too much & never seem to have anything you want. You want me to pick you up something? Coffee... donuts... pack of gum?

Chuckle you all are bad. I just had my last hatch til fall finish. <grin> I've been stagger hatching since Feb. I need the break. I did get good at it though. And I've five beautiful baby silkies to celebrate over

I did guineas this year, man that really is a LONG darn time to watch eggs do nothing. Best of luck to you all.
