Sigh.... Now with Pics! pg 5

Well one set of eggs came in today. Was marked all over the box, "DO NOT DELIVER, HOLD AND CALL FOR PICKUP".... do you think the PO held it and called.... nooooooooooo!

2 more shipments due this week. Hope they get here tomorrow! Showgirls, silkies, sizzles my bator will be hoppin'! Ok maybe not hoppin'.. so much as just sitting there... doing.. NOTHING!!!

Yes paganbird.... better get me a slushie at the gas station.. it's gonna be a long few weeks.

If the other 2 sets make it tomorrow I'll be able to set them all tomorrow night (I'll just let them settle for 8 hours before putting them in) and then not turn the bator for the first 24.

The peacock lady called me again tonight. Her hen laid 2 more - I can pick them up in the morning. That will be 2 more eggs and another 28 days... well... 29 days, really, 'cause I will set them in the afternoon & won't count day one until Friday morning.
This will be my very first staggered hatch - if they develop.
Insiderart... let me guess... you look like a blue-slushee-kinda-gal... am I right? I'm partial to the red slushees myself.

Ok well today is day 18. Time to stop turning and bump up the volume, I mean humidity. I candled and there were 3 blanks and one very early quitter. So 12 showgirl/silkie eggs to the hatcher.

The other eggs still have forever to go...

Sigh....

Ah, but after everyone is hatched and kicking dust all over your back room, you will then be waiting anxiously for them to grow up so you can get the mess out of your house.

i'm still finding feed and poo in the dark corners of my backroom after getting the kids out last month.

*sigh*

Well see I told you I shouldn't have been bragging. None of my eggs hatched. (silkies) I guess that will teach me. Good luck with your hatches.

Wooooot!!! 3 showgirls 3 silkies!! I'm still unsure why the other 6 didn't pip and hatch. They were fully formed, just didn't pip. It's almost like they were shrink wrapped again. Though I followed all the humidity requirements and the chicks that did hatch weren't sticky at all.

Even though I'm thrilled to get 6!! I'll have to get some pics.
