*Sigh* Our EE lays a brown egg...

She has a rose comb, quite a nice one actually, and I've read that too. She came from My Pet Chicken, and I think Meyer fufilled our order; the postmark was Ohio.

Someone on another thread said that Ideal's often lay brown eggs...I hope not as that's why I bought 15.

I got my EE from Ideal and they lay green and bluegreen eggs.

I have 2 EE's, one with a single comb and one with a pea comb. They both lay cream colored eggs.

They're keepers though!!

FWIW, we have 6 Ideal EEs and only 3 are laying as of now. Of those, 2 are blue, 1 olive.

I will be curious what the final distribution is.

I have 2 EEs, both with pea combs. One lays pale brown eggs and the other lays blue. The hens look nothing alike either!

I now know that all three of my EEs are laying green eggs - I actually got four today - and yes, they were all laid today. Only other possibility is the two I knew were laying both laid two today, and I highly doubt that!

We have six EE's (Bought at our local feed store and probably came from Privett) and out of those get 3 light green eggs, 1 looks turquoise greenish-blue, 1 olive and 1 that is pink with mauve spots!

I wasn't sure about the pink one until I saw the EE that we call Smokey (because she has smokey blue-gray tail feathers) come out of the nest box after laying it. I didn't know that they could lay pinkish eggs!

I also have 18 EE coming from Ideal the first week in January and hadn't heard about them laying brown eggs. My egg customers really like the green eggs, that's why I ordered so many more.

My two laying EES... give me a light tan with a tinge of yellow egg
... and a light brown egg.

I'm hoping #3 will give me green.

I just figured out my EE from Meyer hatchery lays a very light brown, almost pink egg. One lays a pale blue green egg. Love them both anyways!

Does anyone have an EE from MyPetChicken/Meyer Hatchery that actually lays blue/green eggs?
