Yea, I'm afraid I've got a brown egg layer out of my three EE's, too. But as you said, I'll keep her, they're all sweeties

just out of curiosity, what sort of comb does she have? I am new to breeding EE's and have heard that a pea comb is associated with blue/green eggs, and a single comb with brown/tinted/white eggs 93% of the time.

I have two EEs and they both have pea combs... one lays green and one lays light bisque/cream, sometimes with speckles.

I know you weren't asking me but hey..

That's no fun! Mine just started laying last week and she has a very light tint brown egg (lighter then my silkie eggs). Disappointing, but like you said we'll keep her.

Onthespot, mine has a pea comb.

And of course we are keeping ours. With 2 EEs I was hoping for blue and green, but got cream and green. Well, she is a sweetheart anyway, the only girl that will let me hold her and kindof a scrappy looking little thing.

I have always had a soft spot for scrappy little things....
