That was very well done.
I worked with special needs children a few years back. I was a teachers aide. We used sign to teach the children to do a lot of things one was to help them read. Giving them another visual to use if getting stuck on a word. It also helped some of the children talk better and more.If that makes any sense. My nephew is hard of hearing, to bad his parents aren't more open minded, because I know he would be less frustrated if he learned to sign.
I taught my son a few words before he could talk and believe me we had far less temper tantrums!
I never took classes to sign, but kinda learned as I needed to.
Talk with a speech pathologists they have a wealth of knowledge and would be able to help you decide what path to take. The one we worked with help us set up how we taught the kids.
I would love to get back into working with the special needs class, when I go back to work, but being a teachers aide has changed a lot since I left, so I have some brushing up to do and some courses to take!
