You guys were all right on! Started hearing those loud sounds from the coop about 30 minutes ago. Checked it out and boom! Egg #1! A little green beauty!

Hahaha! All in good fun with the wife! She thinks that my raising of the chickens is ridiculous, so she likes to give me a hard time. She's been nice enough to allow me to drop a bunch of $ on this whole thing. So that's cool! Thank for the reply!

Good luck! We got our first eggs a few weeks ago. So far we have 4 of our 12 that are laying but they also free range & delight in playing hide the eggs. Hopefully yours like the nesting boxes. Ours seem to prefer the great outdoors. World’s hardest Easter egg hunt when they literally will choose anywhere like under old tarps, in the haystack behind an old pallet and etc.

Luckily my husband is as invested in the little cluckers as much as I am so he helps me look for the eggs.
