Which is approximatey the size of three large eggs ( for comparison)!

Very happy it seems like he is waiting for it once we remove comb he's like very action .. earlier he didn't do much action
Earlier he didn't able to do any activity like playing he lost his weight too but once we dub him he's able to recover I feed him boiled egg with his vitamins daily I didn't touch his wound until it heal and all flour fall on its own

Only we use Icy cold water , flour and corn starch mix tootoo comb was thick and broader but ur rooster seems recover fast ...power to u am avail for any help

We did it last night. The bleeding was relatively minimal. My husband made the cut and I couldn't look and he took more off than I would have liked and than we had discussed, but I can't complain as at least he was willing to do it!

She seems happy enough, but the wound from wear the comb ripped off her head still looks pretty dreadful.I'll give her some peace for a bit and then I might try to clean it again as it is hard to see for all the dried blood.

Very nice he look great start feeding him boiled eggs it will heal faster with egg
He will recover in a week or two don't worry
Chicken blood has good at clotting he will be fine well done

Don't feed rice during healing process rice make pus in the wound

Leave it rear for 24 to 48 hrs then after this time start cleaning with normal water mix with betadine .

As his wound is fresh avoid any bug flies come near him

Great TEAMWORK you guys!

Question about eggs. It sure does sound counterintuitive but it’s true!

It is the perfect food with the perfect blend of amino acids according to many scientists and many of them are right here on BYC but have goofy screen names.

Eggs scrambled, omelette (always skip the onions!)
Hard boiled, fried, over easy, chopped... allllllll good.
And chickens love them.

It is something that tempts them almost every time even if they are feeling lousy.

Protein isn’t terribly high though so you’ll still want to offer feed. Some love it with warm water on it, sort of like a bowl of chicken oatmeal.

Protein is what the body used to repair tissue and heal wounds so aim for high.
Canned fish like tuna is a terrific protein booster, just a little. Not a whole can.
Tuna, salmon, mackerel in a tin.
Liver is another one...
I was recently told dry, good quality cat/kitten food is actually a good high protein treat.

Please do put her in your lap this morning if you can and get her cleaned up with a soft washcloth and a little soap and water. It’ll only take a minute.
You’ll both feel like you’re on the road to recovery!
