Signs a duck is being overmated?

Abrasions to back of head/neck, disheveled feathers, limping are all physical signs of overmating. Separation from the flock may be a sign of over mating, or she may be ill. I'd remove the drake for a couple of days and see if she then stays with the flock. That would tell whether or not the drake is the problem.

I've separated her now so she can recover, thanks for all the replies-regretting getting a drake now but hey ho lesson learnt! I'm sure my chickens never really liked my cockerel much either-they used to run away from him, he could hardly ever catch them as they usually would jump up somewhere where he couldn't mate with them! Sadly my female ducks can't do that!
