Hi

I have been very lucky with my girls and havent had to come on here for a while but I now have a poorly looking ISA Brown.

I have had her about 18 months and she was POL when I got her, (I lost my other brown about 6 months after I got them) She is looking sad, paler comb than normal, hunched and not laying. She is drinking and picking at the ground but doesnt rush up to the food when I take it in anymore. She also sits alot as well. I got 4 ex-bats before easter which are all doing really really well and my marans (that i got with the browns) are fine as well.

Do you think its old age or something else?

Thanks
Hannah

Hannah, I would be looking for the obvious, like worms or mites. How long since you wormed them, if at all? Look for mites around the vent and under the tail with a flashlight at night. Either of those could cause her to be distressed. If either exists, treat everyone.......Pop
