It's turning into winter here.

The snow is melting like crazy right now! And the birds are all coming out.

I saw a snow drop blooming in my yard, also a hellerborus( chistmas rose ) plant. But the weather man says possibly more snow here on Mon. or Tuesday. The country as a whole ,I think is really looking forward to Spring. Oh , also the red maples have reddish buds all over the place. I live in the mtns of NC. Gloria Jean

I am seeing daffodil leaves popping up, and my pink cherry tree has buds ready to bloom soon!

We are also getting ready to get hammered again with snow on Tuesday, but TODAY I see daylilies just poking out as well as iris. Now it is time to mix up some Liquid Fence to keep the dang DEER off of the lilies!!! Every season has both its joys and its tribulations, doesn't it?

That is barbed wire. We do not use it to keep in the chickens. The chicken pen is the dark object mostly submerged. It is a small broiler pen.
