Signs of spring

It's a beautiful spring day in the NW. We got blooming tree's (Cherry Blossoms) everywhere, daffodils up, wild pansy in the yard bloomin, and it's about 60 degree's w/ blue skies, couldn't ask for a more perfect day.

Autumn is here!!! cool morning air and the Maple leaves are starting to turn red and brown, I love autumn, but I don't really enjoy winter even though it gets no where near as cold as it does for you all up there in America. We get California weather here on the NSW central coast.

I have my garden tilled already! Onions, cauiflower, strawberries and green beans planted! Warm today, 'bout 60. Spring is definatly in the air. I saw my first skeeters today too!

Got it now

Hubs and I did some spring cleaning of the yard yesterday paying attention to anything dangerous to chickens since they free range. This is our first spring with the ladies and found them digging in my flowerbed. They unburied my magic lilies(my mom calls them "naked ladies"). I had to cover them with an old screen door. It's very trashy, but I need to keep them away from the lilies until the plants are bigger.

I also noticed my day lilies, iris, daffodils, lamb's ear, and the bleeding heart all popping out of the ground.

Definitely NOT spring up here in the Appalachian mountains , I am so looking forward to the day the snow melts so I can prepare the land for the coop I'm building.

No grass seen or flowers yet ... but I love hearing the excitement from everyone in those areas where spring has sprung *smile* ... or Autumn is peaking (Australia - South Africa)

It seems like spring here, a whopping 33 degree's with some freezing rain, but no "skeeters" as we also like to call them, just a lot of heavy wet snow and mucky mud where the snow has melted, a good couple of month's yet before planting:(
