I've mauled willows to remove them and not burned the clippings fast enough... the clipped branches shoot roots right down into the ground along the entire length of the branch. Willows are crazy, indeed.Go maul a willow tree. Snip off a pound or so of fresh green shoots, new growth only, from the tips of branches. Dump those shoots into a five gallon bucket, fill it with water, and let it sit for a couple days. You can put some shoots in a small container with some water and soak the roots on the plants in it for a day, too, just for a kickstarter. Water the plants from the 'Willow Tea' bucket, adding more water as needed, and removing/chopping up any willow clippings that start putting on roots. They'll do that - even submerged in water. Willows are crazy.

Very cool tip! Thanks for sharing!Yep! It has a chemical in the new growth that leeches out into the water, and promotes rooting in plants that are watered with it. It's also great for rooting fresh cuttings.
Yep, that's how it works, I mean... no, it's not a trick.
Some local cider. Very tasty! What is in the can in your hand?
Animal control usually doesn't deal in wild-life. When I lived in a basement apartment in the DC Metro area, I had a coon that liked to come up to my glass door can taunt my cats and raid my trash. I called Animal Control and they said they only deal in domestic animals and to call a nuisance wild-life trapping company that cost an arm and a leg.
Probably just a very large, very well fed fox. What do y'all think of this?
(True story from just yesterday)
What's sketchy is that yesterday we had some couple we had never seen (they don't live here) drive around the circle twice and both times slowed down and stared at us and our chickens.
This fox thing that attacked was really really big for a fox. I wonder if it was a man made hybrid. It was extremely strong, too.
LOL, animal control around here is usually a live trap followed up with a dose of lead to the brain.I assumed that “animal control” was @Cyprus shotgun.

We recently took care of 9 coons that way. They were getting way too comfortable with being close to our houses.
