I love the rain. It stays cool, keeps the flying insects down, and my annoying neighbors indoors. But then, I don't like the mud, wet dogs, and not being able to line dry my laundry. And it's not fun chasing a bored half naked toddler down in the rain, either...

I don't mind the rain, but I'm a trucker and it's hard to drive when you can't see more than a few yards in front of you . Besides, it makes my Sultans look like chocolate spiky-haired snowmen

We tried to. But then the storm that looked like it was going north of us, definitely didn't go north a few minutes into the show... At least we were sitting close to our car and we got to cool off a little - it went from 92° to 77° in minutes!

Sounds great, we have been having really hot weather.

Used to love going to the beach when we lived in FL. But i had to work a lot so not much time for that. Then later i was too depressed to bother. Now we live in the woods on a river. Really nice.

Is there a way to change how many posts are viewed per page? I'm used to 40 per page. Really helps not having threads be a million pages long.

Are you a fan of clear water beaches too?

Psht. No blah water and nasty sand for me. I'll take sleet-gray surf that sprays a hundred feet in the air off the cliffs, and steep, rocky beaches with ten-foot-thick driftwood logs piled on them. Water too cold to go into without a drysuit, and riptides that'll kill you if you're not experienced and careful. Rocky tide pools full of amazing ocean life, and islands that jut two hundred feet straight up out of the water on all sides, with the greenery on the top spilling out into open air.

I grew up on northwestern Peninsula beaches.
