This is not a bad habit. It is a way of life.I do believe that @KikisGirls is teaching @Cyprus bad habits. Like starting threads and meandering discussions.
I need Cy to learn that one must have at least 2 thermometers in bator at all times. This is not a bad habit. It is a way of life.![]()
She is still sitting on the other two?
Sometimes they will get up an bail once a chick hatches.
Oh, yes. I am lucky - I don't have poisonous snakes but I have a weird soft spot for snakes in general. When I was just a little girl, I remember being at a church shin dig and the boys tried to scare us girls with snakes. A few of us girls gathered a whole mess of snakes and we'd hold down the boys and shove them down their pants!True, unless they are poisonous and you have stupid dogs and small children. The children learn. The dogs may, if they live.

When we head over to the other side of the mountains for peach picking in August, we are always on the lookout for rattlers. Always wise to steer clear.
Nanday Conure for the win!!!! Had one named Indy growing up. He was a hoot. We never clipped his wings so he flew all over the place. During summer, he slept in the cedars outside occasionally. Had a great relationship with our goats. He would ride them around and clean their ears. When he wanted down, he would tug on their collars and they would lower a leg for him to climb down. He'd sit on the fence during milking waiting for his squirt. Really a neat little dude. He tortured my cat, but only in front of us when she could do nothing. He stayed out one night and she tore him to shreds. I still like to think he lived a good life while it lasted.Coolest bird I've owned....?
Probably the Nanday Conure, but he was so loud I ended up having to rehome him.
Sultans were on my list of breeds to get, but they've been bumped off until/unless I've got everything else I want and end up with extra room.
