Have you tried Nutri-Drenching it?

I'd taken them off the vitamins, but I added them back into the water tonight after seeing its reaction. Added ACV in, as well. It's eating and drinking well, just not growing and not as hardy. It's still getting around just fine - this is one of the two that had problems walking at first, and a few days of the vitamins straightened that out perfectly.

Very true. I've eaten meat that wasn't a clean kill and it does NOT taste good. I come from a hunting family so I always have access to the good stuff, but I can't imagine eating roadkill unless I was pretty hard up.
Hubby hit a deer this spring by accident and we can keep meat where we live if hit by car. Tried to salvage and it was the WORST. The hind legs were shaddered. And it had been eating bark all winter. Blek

I buy pee pads for my fake dog.

I've never used pee pads for any dog! I did potty train the two I got as young pups, though, by taking them to bed with me every night and getting up every two hours to take them outside until they went. After two months of that, gradually increasing the time between 'walks', they never have 'accidents'.

But have you tried Nutri-Drench straight to the beak?
