My fbcm lays eggs with that heavy calcium coating quite often too. I've never considered the fact that something could be wrong, I just thought it was something she did. I'm not very knowledgeable on this but I'm curios now.

She hasn’t laid anything in the last two days but with the Fourth of July and family over it’s been hectic so none of the hens have laid. Actually we had one go broody instead.
