Silence Is Not Golden Here

It's gone.
Well, I suppose with the heat spike that the incubator experienced that it could have been worse. Pretty neat that some of your little guys (hopefully girls) hatched at all!
Still sucks though.
I got really attached to a little Bantam Cochin that I had to assist after mom left the nest to tend to the others. She had a little curved beak, not scissored, just curved. I named her Nighthorse. She thought I was mom. Hopped up and slept in my hand as a tiny thing and she continually hopped on my arms as she grew. Liked to sit on my shoulder and got so excited to see me every day. Came bursting up to greet me and hop on my arm. We moved them outside and had them in a totally covered run. One day, a hawk came. She ran up to greet him. It just about broke my heart. I still can't think of her without almost crying like a girl.

Hey @The Farmers' Daughter , I forgot to show you these pics of Crystal's birds at the fair. I'm getting RIR's from her in the late fall! The first breed of chicken I got were hatchery RIR's and now I finally get to have the nice dark red ones!

Here is her Buckeye roo (I'm sure you've seen him before)

Wait a minute!! She promised me the RIRs! It was discussed back in March, and I checked in a month or 2 ago and she said she wouldn't have any.
