I bought 2 silkies from a personal breeder, One died within a few days. This one I have had over a month. It’s been in isolation the whole time. One eye has been swollen/bulging and crusty. She is blind now. Can not see any of the eye. Now looks like something is starting to grow on the other eye. And doesn’t open it hardly now. Any input???? I attach photos.

Can you try to get some saline eye wash (Bausch and Lomb Eye Relief is good,) and flushe the eyes with a cotton ball to soften the crust and gunk, so it can be removed. It may take 5 or more minutes to soften. Then try to open the eyes and wipe out any goop. Apply some Terramycin eye or plain Triple Antibiotic ointment into the eye twice a day. It looks like a possible chronic respiratory disease, such as MG. Unfortunately since silkies are sought after, some can be carrying the disease as chicks. It can come through hatching eggs or from a bird who is a carrier. The other possibility is that it’s eyes were pecked and got infected or damaged.
