In the interest of full disclosure, I had this chick DNA sexed and just got the results today. It is from a batch of 6 pasty-butt, 3 day old silkies I picked up on “clearance” at TSC because I couldn’t bear to leave them there. I found homes for all but this one, and crossed my fingers that I didn’t keep a cockerel and get rid of all the pullets. I thought it would be interesting to see what the hive mind (flock mind?) thinks - and yes, I know 4 weeks is too young to sex accurately, but since I know now what this chick is, I figured some of our expert silkie keepers could flex their skills. So, is Lavender staying with my flock of hens, or finding a new home at a place that can keep roosters?

Pullet. Just to balance it out. The comb looks big in one shot, but not the other. And the wattles also — are they bigger on one side or is it the photo angle?

It seems fairly symmetrical to me - if you all need more photos before passing judgement, just let me know.
