Silkie and...... what? Lol

Hi everyone, this is Penelope my only broody hen at the moment and the sweetest thing. She's at the bottom of the pecking order but has an attitude if someone comes near her eggs lol I've raised her from an egg but have always wondered, what is she mixed with? Even if nobody really knows I still got to show her off

She looks bigger than a bantam size in the photo, so my guess is a mix with large fowl.

She got a lot of the Silkie traits...mostly black skin, and do I see 5 toes?

But she has regular feathers rather than the Silkie barbless feathers (hair like).

And that comb...wow. It is like a mix of walnut with maybe some rose comb? Or it could simply be a badly formed pea...but it almost has a nub like a rose comb.

With that said, being heavier, with possibly rose comb on one side and walnut (which is genetically pea/rose together)....I'll make a guess of Wyandotte, either bantam or large, and Silkie.

But that's just a wild guess. It could be so many things.

Silkie-bantam Cochin is a popular mix, and the Cochin has a larger single comb that can funk a walnut. It would be good to see what type of body type she has.

Thanks!! That helps a ton! She does have 5 toes, regular feathers but they are sooo much softer and fluffier than the others. And yea her comb is crazy I have no idea lol. And she's pretty big too like you said, she's the same size as my other med sized hens.
