Silkie Babies - first day out! *PICS*

It's not many days in December around here that you can brag on 70 degrees, but Saturday was one of those rare warm December days!

So the silkie babies went out for their first outing in the big outdoors. Everything seems sort of big when you are only 4" high!

The pen is attached to the ChickNBarn where they will move when they are ready to go out full time:

They are 4 weeks old tomorrow (Tues). They had such fun.

I left them out there just a few min past dusk tonight and when I went to get them, they were all snuggled together in a big pile ready for bed. It looked like someone had dropped a fuzzy blanket on the ground.

We're having a lot of fun with these guys - definately have fallen prey to their silkie intentions to rule the world...
