I have 2 Silkie pullets that went broody they are in with the other silkie chickens. Today I went out to check on them and found one baby out of the box and dead. Should I bring them inside, the pullet, chicks and the rest of the eggs.? I have them in a milk carton it's on it's side and I can easily pick it up. I have a play pen I could put them in and both momma's are in the same carton. Both were raised in the house so I don't think it will be to much of a shock for them I don't know if my rooster killed it but I don't want to lose anymore.
I only have shaving to put in the play pen. do you think that will be ok?
