Silkie Bantam so loud!

I have a 30wk old Silkie who is soooo loud. Every morning she just squawks. She has food & water and everything she needs. Also, any time another is laying she is just screaming at them. LOL Is this normal for a silkie?

'Normal' and 'silkie' in the same sentence constitutes an oxymoron. Is she laying? Some hens of all breeds become noisy as they are about to start laying.

I have to agree that Silkies aren’t quite normal. Many of them seem a bit touched in the head. My smallest bird is a one and a half pound Silkie and she makes more noise than the rest of them put together!

Some of my newer hens make random hounds - I always believed they were showing a sign of being content!
