I am looking for some young, but not newly hatched silkie bantams. The mail order hatcheries are sold out for 2008. I live in Ohio, between Akron and Youngstown. Is there anyone close to me who has some for sale? thanks, rughooker

This post should be moved to BST. There are a few silkie breeders in OH, but if you're just looking for hatchery birds, Ideal still has blue, white, and red.

Hi Rughooker.
I'm from Ohio too. You are pretty close to Rogers Flea Market. They have a poultry auction there every Friday nite at 6pm. It is also one of the largest Flea Markets in Ohio.
Check it out, they have a lot of poultry there along with tons of rabbits and goats and livestock supplies.
