Silkie bantams?

you can get them from hatcheries, so it is possible that you got them from a feed store. Most people just don't have big breeding groups of these that are accounted for. If you are going to breed them, you should look at the sultan thread and get some eggs/ babies from a good source and have two different blood lines for breeding.

Good luck with your flock of Sultans! :-D I must have some of these in the future. My girlfriend had one previously and they are so neat.

I have one Sultan I got from MM in an assorted Bantam bunch. I'm sorry but I'm not too impressed. Different strokes for different folks I guess. She's sort of 'slow' but maybe I just got a not-too-bright one. She IS interesting to look at though. Mine doesn't have a beard, which they're supposed to have.

Look at this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/758032/silky to see a baby Silkie.

They are super sweet! Is there anything I can do about their messy bottoms though? I've had to clean just about everyone of their bottoms because of caked on poo. I've had other chicks and haven't had this problem before.

I know this is an old post, but what did the chicks end up being? I have 1 chick that looks exactly the same. Yellow with light coloured legs and 5 toes. But I just presumed they were silkie crosses. I guess I wont know until it is older, but still curious :)
