Silkie breeding, genetics & showing

oh okay... well i'm still hoping for the best, the yolk is very dark and takes up half the egg. I think my flashlight might just be too weak to see anything else.

It might be a good idea for you to set up a "conjugal visit" between Toulouse and your pullet (Nori?). That way you can get a few more eggs and see if they develop.

I tried candling my eggs and I was able to see some veining (6 days) and a dark dot but the rest were dark yolks. I tried some fresh ones and they were so light I could barely see the yolks. So... dark yolks might mean OK!
