i bought some silkies from a hatchery as st.run baby chicks 5blue and 5white but it looks like all my blues are roos(lol didnt mean to rhyme) i was wondering if i bred a blue to white then breed the offspring to blue would i geet blue silkies again? or some kinda mutant color?

I don't that much about silkie genetics...I'm still learning. But from what I hear, you shouldn't breed anything to white. It might show up blue the first time you've bred them, but the white is recessive and can show up in any generation there-after. I hope I got that right, I'm still learning myself

You can think of the white as being like a can in the pantry that somehow lost its label--you have NO idea what you'll get when you open it. Could be pears, peaches, greenbeans or sardines. If you mix the unknown can with a known can you may end up with something appetizing; or it might instead be something very "eclectic."
