My dear little girl silkie did the broody thing, and I kept throwing her off the nest. It took a couple of days, but I broke the little hormonal bird. I think she is mad at me now, because she hasn't laid since. How long after breaking a broody does she start laying again? My BO started laying almost immediately, but the silkie doesn't seem so inclined. Is it the breed or should I be looking out for something else? She free ranges, so it is possible that she found a hidey hole to lay in, but I haven't found any in my small back yard. What's up with Silk Baby (my kid named her)?
