So, after a long search, I just found my silkie in the pigpen in a pile of hay trying to sit on 11 eggs. She must have just started sitting on them today as she was in the coop last night.

I moved her and her eggs into a nest in the chicken coop where she is safe from predators and/or being stepped or laid on by a pig and she did get right back on her nest. She seems to be having a hard time keeping that many eggs under her. So, I am wondering if I should remove some of them to give her the best chance at success. I am fine with her being broody so I don't want to take them all.

What do you all think?

Candle thrm and remove they clear eggs first.

Thanks everyone, she did not like my moving her eggs and abandoned them and went and laid new eggs in the pig pen. She is very set on brooding there so I have made her as safe as possible and just let her be. I don't even know how many eggs she has now but I don't think it could me more than 2-3.
