so i have a couple silkies and the past two months my four laying hens have not gone broody. They have been laying almost daily. Ive tried leaving the eggs and letting them collect and still nothing. Am i able to help them go broody? Is there a technique that may help them along?? I have been incubating all eggs this far with no problems id just like my girls to do it themselves!

I leave eggs with the hens for a few days. Mark them and all mine have gone Broody.

Leaving eggs or better yet using fake eggs is about all you can do to help them along. There isn’t anything you can do to make them broody. I think seeing fake eggs sitting in the nest kind of kick starts there hormones but if they were not inclined to go broody anyway there is nothing that can be done. Only reason for fake eggs is of corse they won’t spoil.
