When I found silkies at the feed store I grabbed a couple looking for a variety. One looked a little like a calico/tortoiseshell and passed away the same day. One is black....but he's seems to be lightening up to an hazy gray color. Should I expect him to go back to black?
On another note I got two silkies that were two slightly different shades of yellow. The feed store guy said one was white and one was buff. I have a buff polish and neither of them are getting the buff color feathers, but it's so hard to tell with the fluffiness. I'm okay if they both turn out white, but is it usually easier to tell right away if they are truly buff?
