Hi,
I received 8 day-old silkie chicks. One should be a sex-linked chocolate female, the other seven are straight-run, assorted-color silkies.

Here is the description of the parents' pens:
"We currently mainly have Blue, black, splash and white colored silkies in our unrelated breeding flocks, but the colors you may receive could be blue, black, splash, white, buff, partridge."

There are numbers on each picture,
I appreciate any hint on which may be the chocolate, and I'm happy to have your thoughts on their eventual colors.

For #6 & #7 do the spots by the eyes give any indication of their color, or is it mostly the presence/absence of chimpmunk stripe?

Thanks in Advance!

No whites, blacks or chocolates.

6, 7, and 8 are buffs. Congrats as I've ordered hatching eggs 4 times and have 1 buff to show for it lol.

3 and 4 are partridge. 5 is either partridge or splash.

2 could be blue.

All of them are beautiful!

You'll know the color of these for sure in a few weeks as their feathers start coming in.

Thank you very much!

I appreciate your response.

In a few weeks, I can post some feathered out pics.

Hi! I'm happy to post updated picts. Just give me a few days. I've got bad ear infections.

1 and 2 are chocolates. The rest were partridges. I lost two of them.

Hi! I was ill for much longer than expected. I'm posting side by side of the original week 1 photo and a current photo at 9 weeks. (#4 and #6 passed away).

Opinions on if #2 and #7 are pullets or cockerels?
