Silkie Chick colors

I have two silkie chicks that I'm having a hard time distinguishing color on. The hen was a splash and the roo a lavender split blue. Is it possible these are splash? I thought they were going to be blue when they hatched but they're so light. And I recently read that it can take a couple of months for a splash to obtain it's "speckled" markings so thats why I'm wondering, what does a splash chick look like when it hatches and how do you know for sure it is a splash?

you are probably on the right track...splash. they will probably stay pretty light since they came from light colored parents. it sounds like you had a varied colored gene pool. they are so cute! I just love silkies!!
