Hi, I have just had 3 silkie chicks hatch one has wry (stargazing), one couldn’t lift its head and died after 2 days and ones feet are close together and walks backwards. I know inbreeding is usually fine for 4-5 generations but can these disabilities be caused by this?

You can treat the neurological problems with vitamin E. Which can be found in Nutridrench, which also has other good vitamins in it.

We’ve been giving them vitamin E for the last 2 or so days with no change or improvement and when asking the vets they said it would be better to have them killed. But I’m hoping that’s a very last resort
