Our 2 day old silkie chick's feet are bent funny.
Could it be from the way it was sitting in the egg?
Is there any thing I can do to help straighten them?
It walks around ok, but It's such a cute chicky I'd like to try to help it.

You can see how they are bent in this pic

Here's the best closeup I could get it to allow me to take

Any suggestions would help.
Thank you,

Yep there are things you can do to straighten the toes, if you do a search for it there are tons of threads with descriptions on what to do.

I did the best I could with it's little feetys.
I hope it'll work, I have extra cardboard and band-aids.

We got it to walk around before I took it to the hospital tote.

Yupper, thats the way I rock and it works really well! Just take a deep breath....have an extra hand around the first time for sure so you don't feel panicky. . Then just feel confident.

They squiggle and squirm so bad....they just don't know what is good for them.

I never could successfully fix crooked toes. I have silkies too and the tape kept getting stuck in the feet feathers and the other chicks kept pecking at it. The chick was miserable. I have partially fixed some though. Its a pain!

It kept the left 1 on overnight, I think it was just uncomfortable the way dad had finally got it on. I was holding it and dad was trying, but his patients level is so low. It can still walk, actually much better with just the 1 on. I just wish I could get it to keep the right claw 1 on.
